1) What is Creative Movement / Dance Therapy?
Creative Movement Therapy is a therapeutic modality, which uses natural and authentic movement to find a balance of emotional, social, cognitive and physical wellbeing in individuals.

2) What are the timings and duration of the course?
The course is scheduled between 9.30 AM and 6.30 PM daily, 10 days every month:
- April  15th to 24th  2017
- May 20th  to 29th  2017
- June 17th  to 26th  2017
Note: The total number of hours for this course is 270 including 10 hours supervision and 10 hours personal therapy and to achieve certification with 72 hours research based internship with supervision. 


Internship Sessions - (Timings/days of the week) for movement therapy sessions need to be set up between students and Organisation from June 2017 to July 2017. These internships will be supervised by the course faculty members. 

3) What is the last date to register and make fee payments for the course?
The last date for registration (by sending us your complete application) is by February 28th 2017 and course fee payment should be done by march 16th 2017.

4) Is there an Interview prior to the course?
Yes, there is a phone call interview at a mutually convenient time. Our CMTAI course faculty will be your contact point. 

5) How to apply/register for the course?
Please respond to this email indicating your  interest and we will send the application form to initiate the registration. The form needs to be filled with necessary details along with your photo attached. Your registration will be confirmed based on a personal interview and receipt of the course fee.

6) Who can enrol for this course?
This is a training course. Therefore, preference will be given to special educators, teachers, counsellors, psychology / sociology graduates, artists, dancers, healers, therapists, social workers and any other group facilitators working with children or adults with therapeutic needs and issues. However, the course is open to all adults aged 18 years and above.

7) Can non-dancers enrol in this course?
Yes, but they need to be trained or have some knowledge of or experience with dance/movement (any form).

8) How is the course structured?
The course will include theoretical, practical and experiential sessions with assignments. 

9) What kind of certification will be given at the end of the course?
You will receive 2 completion certificates at the end of the course. 
1. National certification from ‘Creative Movement Therapy Association of India’ 
2.  International Certification from CID-UNESCO ‘The International Dance Council’ (Paris). 

10) What are the criteria for students to receive certifications at the end of this course?
Participants will need: 
a) Minimum 95%  attendance + punctuality during the training period (does not include internship hours) 
b) Submission of all course assignments for grading, 
c) Successful completion of internship, supervision and personal therapy. 
d) Payment of complete course fee. 
Please note: The actual number of days that you have attended the course will be mentioned on your certificate. 

11) Will there be a break during these classes?
Yes, there will be a 45-minute lunch break and two 15-minute tea breaks. Participants can either bring their own lunch or eat at the eating joints close to  the venue. The course fee includes tea and snacks but not lunch. 

12) What do participants bring to the course sessions?
Participants are required to bring their own note books, a diary for journaling dance experiences, pencils, pens, erasers and sharpeners.

13) What is suitable attire?
Participants need to wear comfortable clothes for movement, like track pants, shorts, t-shirts or salwar kurta. Tight jeans or sarees to be avoided for the purpose of convenience during experiential classes

14) Whom do we inform in case of being absent or late during the course?

15) Will one get accommodation if coming from outstation/other cities?
The course does not provide accommodation. Please reach out to Sophia/Nishtha for information on hotels/ service apartments near the venue. 

16) What is the fee for the course?
INR 65,000/- including registration fee, tuition costs, course material, and the National and International certifications. The fee once paid is neither refundable nor transferable. Cheques are to be made in the favour of Creative Movement Therapy Association of India.

17) Are there any scholarships available?
There are no scholarships available.
